My specialisms are historical fiction, historical romance, action / adventure novels and romance. I have also beta read, proofread and edited a number of fantasy novels, contemporary romance and mystery novels as well as short stories of various genres, several of which are now published. I have experience in judging national writing competitions, offering free professional feedback and editing services to the competition winners and runners-up, and continue to offer writing workshops and ‘ask the author’ sessions both online and in-person to help those interested in a writing career.

Please note: I do NOT work with novels centered around stories of child abuse or anything else nasty or graphic happening to children. While I share the strong view that these stories sometimes need to be told, I am a delicate little flower with two young children of my own and find stories of children suffering just too triggering for me. If you’re not sure about whether your story would be something I’d accept, you are very welcome to open up a discussion with me, and if I feel I am not the right person to edit your manuscript then I will do my best to help you find another editor with thicker skin!

P.S: I can cope with non-child character deaths- I’m very experienced with killing off my own characters in horrible and tragic ways, so I’m more than happy to help you finish yours off too- but I'll warn you, if you kill off the dog in your story, we’re not going to be friends!
